Missha Signature BB Cake #13 Review

I am addicted to bb/cc creams and cushions. I only have one face (albeit big cheeks lol), but I own too many of them >_<

So it’s just about time I start reviewing them all here 😀

I will review them one by one, with as many pictures as I can, hoping that it could be of help, in case you’re planning to buy any of the products mentioned.

Let me show you my current bb/cc/foundation/cushion stash.

12769615_10153571045429582_1418994485_n

I used Nature Republic’s By Flower Auto Eyeliner on my arm to show you the coverage of the said foundies.

After swatching everything that I have, here’s how it looks like

  1. Dermacol #207
  2. Dermacol #208
  3. Missha Signature BB Cake #13
  4. A’Pieu Air Fit Cushion #13
  5. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream #13
  6. Sugao CC Cream in Pink Bright
  7. Touch in Sol Flawless Skin Top Coat

As you see, I always get the lightest shade because I’m so white. My grandma is Chinese and I think I’m the only one among all her grandchildren who got her color. I am often mistaken as a foreigner  or worse, an adopted child. Good thing I look a lot like my brothers lol.

My collection is nothing compared to others. I try my best to spend wisely and this is all I can afford at the moment. You won’t see me reviewing any high end product here. This blog is for middle class girls like me who are either rich or poor. Though in this country, we’re all poor if we’re not considered rich haha!

That aside, let’s proceed with the review! First is Missha’s Signature BB Cake.

I got this on sale from my friend Dianne (who is one of the best sellers of Korean products, I tell you!). She even gave it to me at a discounted price!

Checking the official websites (both the Korean and the US one), I’m lucky because the amount that I have paid for is such a steal! I guess there was a sale back then? 😀

Missha Signature BB Cake (Shade #13)
SPF 50+/PA +++
Shades Available: #13 (milky beige), #21 (light beige), #23 (natural beige)
Price: 30 USD, 25,800 won
Got it for: 695 pesos or 15 USD (I love you Dianne ♥)
Where to buy: Missha’s US website, Missha’s Korean website, or at your favorite Korean cosmetics shop

How it looks like in real life (lol)

12803979_10153570935164582_1192786109_n

The packaging is really beautiful! I know that there’s another version which is even more beautiful, but this alone is really chic!

The case is pearly pink with Missha Signature line’s logo in the middle.

12498460_10153570982099582_542495902_n

There’s a refill available at the Korean website but it’s effing expensive. But I don’t think one would need any refill soon because I’ve already been using it for almost 2 months and I’m not even a quarter done.

12767453_10153570982389582_2008360446_n

12782340_10153570982174582_1556326972_n

The coverage is medium to full, depending on how many layers or how thick you’re going to apply. It comes with the same type of puff as your regular cushion, which helps apply the product evenly.

12784782_10153570982044582_1538290327_n

I used my fingers to apply it on the pics though lol sorry

12804228_10153570981994582_41749245_n

This is how I looked like after applying it on my face before going to work. I used it with Nivea Men’s post-shave balm as primer, and with 3W Clinic’s Natural Makeup Powder (Shade #21)

12767487_10153570933274582_1430714027_n

As for the lipstick, I used Menow Kiss Proof #4

Here’s how I looked like a few hours after work. Work starts at 9pm and ends at 6am. Normally, it takes me around an hour to get home because of all the post shift shit that I have to do on top of traffic.

12736229_10153570933639582_1601888618_n

Not bad, right? No retouch too because our company does not allow even supervisors to bring things as simple as a compact powder inside the production floor -_-;

The verdict? I am very satisfied with the product! It’s a good thing it’s not on sale right now because I have a tendency to hoard haha! My excuse all the time is that, I will bring the items to the US because once I’m there, I don’t know how long it will take before I get a job XDD

So there you go! Is there even anyone reading my posts?! Lol! Hmmm.. how about a freebie on the first comment that I receive? A surprise cosmetic I’m sure you’d love, free shipping to the Philippines :p

Now let’s see if there’s going to be any winner 😀

Strip Tease Cold Sugar Wax Review

12804216_10153568980799582_1577120164_n

Today I’m going to review Strip Tease’s Cold Sugar Wax.

It has been my holy grail when it comes to removing unwanted body hair for years. It’s all natural, cheap, and really effective!

Strip Tease Cold Sugar Wax
Price: 150 pesos for 100grams
Where to Buy: SM Megamall tiangge beside the Supermarket every weekends only, or online

12782365_10153568980714582_1066966171_n

The product comes in different sizes. I always buy the 100 grams one. It comes with a small spatula (tongue depressor, actually), and 10 or 12pcs of waxing strips (sorry, I lost count hehe). In case you run out of strips, you can buy it for 25pesos for 10 or 12pcs which comes with a spatula again.

12576092_10153568980614582_1643096346_n

I still have my almost empty jar so I used it’s contents first before opening the new one. The product smells like sugar and honey, which is basically what it is made of. It’s thick in consistency, but can be easily spread on the strip. Just a tip, don’t place the jar inside the fridge for it will make the product hard, and you have to soften it first before you can use it.

Ironically, even during the ants season, the product is not swarmed by the little insects despite it basically being made up of everything sweet. I wonder why haha!

I’m already done waxing my armpits (and it’s harder to take pictures of it when waxing!) so I’ll show you how the product works on my legs instead.

I realized that WordPress makes the quality of the pictures worse, and it doesn’t help that I’m only using my phone’s camera too, so please pardon the bad picture quality.

My leg before waxing

12736240_10153568980644582_952219058_n

I waxed one area in the middle so you could see the effect. I didn’t use any filter, and I took the picture at night hahaha!

12784299_10153568980564582_1254632235_n

This is the end result:

12767243_10153568980424582_1790316122_n (1)

And this is how it looks like with proper lighting!

I hope you liked my review about Strip Tease wax! It’s the best wax available locally!

Wimasum Mushroom Brush Review

A few years back, I thought that makeup can only be applied via puff or hand. As I learned more and more about cosmetics, I also learned the importance of makeup brushes.

I’m not the type who’s willing to splurge a lot for brushes alone. They said that branded ones are a good investment, but for me, as long as the brush work wonders, it doesn’t matter what the brand is.

One of the most popular types of brush is the mushroom brush. From the name itself, it’s a short but stout brush, much like a little teapot 😀

12442857_10153568929834582_1830953950_n

It’s so cheap too! I got it for 130 pesos from my seller friend!

12498451_10153568929804582_791294076_n

It’s also very soft and dense, as you could see at the bottom right picture above. It’s such a steal for 130 pesos!

But of course, I have to test it to prove that it’s as good as it looks! So I tried it on Dermacol.

12767795_10153568929794582_1496307599_n

To those who knows Dermacol, a little goes a long way. I placed some product on the back of my hand because I’m poor and doesn’t own a mixing palette XDD

I applied it on half of my face so you’d see the coverage/finish.

12788083_10153568929934582_750931745_n

The only edit I did on the picture above are the hearts and nothing else. No filter either. Please bear with the quality because I’m only my phone’s front camera and I don’t own a high-end phone.

You may not see it really well, but the coverage is really good! Of course, Dermacol by itself is already awesome, but with a good brush, it’s even more perfect!

If you want to order the mushroom brush, please feel to message me below, so I can forward the orders to my friend.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Enprani White Cell Foam Cleanser Review

I am not afraid to try different types of facial wash. Depending on my skin’s current state, I use one that would help improve my skin’s condition.

When I get break-outs, I use The Body Shop’s Tea Tree line. It’s super effective with pimples, but it’s also very drying to the skin because of the tea tree oil. But when my skin is being cooperative, I only use 2 cleansers; a deep cleansing one, and moisturizing/brightening one.

One of my most favorite foaming cleanser ever is Enprani’s White Cell Foam Cleanser.

12782378_10153567234649582_1923487482_n

Enprani White Cell Foram Cleanser
Price: It depends on where you will buy it
Contents: 100 ml
Where to buy: At your favorite supplier of Korean skin care 😀

I got my first Enprani cleanser from a classmate who already lives in Korea. She gave her used one to me as a gift since I purchased a lot of goodies from her. I’m part Chinese and I’m really white (or yellow), that’s why I don’t need whitening products anymore. It’s actually the “cell” part that got me interested in this product.

12782021_10153567234604582_148561627_n

As you can see in the ingredients list, it contains a couple of cell extracts. I’ll be honest, I thought at first that it contains stem cells lol. But the plant cell extracts are also good for the skin!

One tube could last you up to 3-4 months, depending on the use. A small amount goes a long way. On the picture below, I have purposely poured more product than usual to show you the small orange bead-like stuff that it contains.

12784629_10153567234569582_99008200_n

The bead-like thingie are not actually beads. They’re like gold specs that dissolves and mixes with the cleanser the moment you foam it. I think it’s one of the really good parts of the cleanser itself.

Enprani White Cell smells really good! I think the scent is a bit floral, but not intensely floral. It smells… classy! As for the effect on the skin, it makes your skin really soft and smooth and bright. Prolonged use will also whiten your skin. The whitening is not intense, but it sure helps in lightening dark spots, specially those caused by pimples.

I still have 2 tubes left, but I’m already panicking on how to get more for future use lol. Have you already tried Enprani’s White Cell Foam Cleanser? What’s your favorite facial wash? Please feel free to comment below 🙂

Japanese Brand Makeup Removers Part 2: Biore Micellar Cleansing Water

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water
Price: 189 pesos
Contents: 90ml
Where to buy: Watsons stores

Disclaimer: I bought all the products that I review with my own money. I am in no way endorsing any product. Everything I post is just my opinion based on my experience in using the said products

Micellar cleansing waters are currently trending among makeup and beauty enthusiasts. I’ve been wanting to try one, but most of the brands that I see are so expensive (to think that I already have a lot of makeup cleansing stuff). I was so delighted when I saw this small bottle of Biore at Watsons for an affordable price of 189 pesos. Of course, I had to buy it!

12782115_10153567037344582_738504262_n

Kao is a Japanese company. But unlike Bifesta, the Biore products available here are not imported from Japan, but are from Vietnam (like the fake Kewpie mayonnaise you see in grocery stores). I’m about to get Japan-made Biore products soon, and I’ll make sure to review them here. But for the mean time, let me tell you about my experience with this version.

Again, I used L’Oreal Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner to test this product

12784701_10153567037419582_1005455241_n

12498447_10153567075579582_395672448_n

12782545_10153567037799582_2019576332_n

As you see on the picture above, it’s not as good as Bifesta when it comes to immediately removing makeup. The Japan fanatic in me is telling myself that it could be the fact that it’s made in Vietnam and not in Japan. But as I wiped my skin with the same cotton pad afterwards, I found out that it’s just as good!

12325097_10153567037944582_1237920116_n

Biore Micellar Cleansing Water is not specifically made to remove eye makeup, but to remove makeup all over the face. I guess that’s one of the reasons why the effect is not as immediate as Bifesta. If you’re the type who only wants to use one product in overall makeup removal, then I definitely suggest Biore Micellar water. But just take note that you need to put a little pressure on the skin while removing the residue, which means that you have to rub on the eyes a little (which is not good). But still, it removes makeup effectively.

I’ll try to get other brands of micellar water as comparison to Biore. Once I get them, I will review them right away 🙂

Feel free to comment below if you have any suggestions.

Japanese Brand Makeup Removers Part 1: Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover

Japanese products are often too expensive, which is why it’s harder to see them being sold here in the Philippines compared to Korean brands. But recently, more and more Japanese products are appearing in local stores, much to my delight!

Disclaimer: I bought all the products that I review with my own money. I am in no way endorsing any product. Everything I post is just my opinion based on my experience in using the said products.

Let’s proceed with the review. This time, it’s Japanese brand makeup removers (readily available in the local department stores)

12784624_10153567037169582_1565690333_n

I realized that I should have reviewed Bifesta cleansing lotion instead of this. But since I prefer the eye makeup remover better, then I guess it’s ok haha!

I tested the products using my arms coz I forgot to take pictures before I removed my makeup earlier 😀

I used L’Oreal’s Gel Intenza 36H Eyeliner because it’s my favorite eyeliner (really pigmented, easy to use, and waterproof!)

12784701_10153567037419582_1005455241_n

12498447_10153567075579582_395672448_n

Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover
Price: 298 pesos
Contents: 145ml
Where to buy: Watsons Stores

12596250_10153567037289582_1276225534_n

I absolutely LOVE this!
It can be a bit pricey at almost 300 pesos, but if you compare to other drug store brands, it’s actually cheaper because it contains 145ml of product!

The product is imported from Japan. If you see a brand new bottle, you’d notice that there’s a sticker on the wrapper with the translation of everything you see on the water above.

It removes waterproof mascara and eyeliner without having to rub your eyes. Just shake the bottle to mix the oil and water together, soak a cotton pad, leave it on your eyes for few minutes, and it’s all good!

12767645_10153567037474582_354518692_n

12769651_10153567037634582_1768665387_n

For almost 300 pesos for a 145ml bottle, it’s super worth it! I’ve already been using this brand for years, and it never fails to remove my eye makeup completely. I highly suggest this specially if you wear waterproof mascara and/or eyeliner.

What are your thoughts about Bifesta? Please feel to leave a comment below 🙂

Review: Little Baby Cupcake Underarm Cream

Armpit Talks #03

I’ve finally come to the last part of my armpits-related posts!

Last, but certainly not the least, is Little Baby’s Cupcake Underarm Cream.

This cream is popular not only in the Philippines, but all around SouthEast Asia.
It’s a product of Thailand, but can be purchased in the Philippines via online sellers.

The first time I learned about this was last year. I started getting obsessed with beauty products last year too, and it’s one of the things that I discovered during that time.

Little Baby Cupcake Underarm Cream
Price: 350 pesos for a 50 gram jar
Where to buy: Happy Hauler

cupcake

There are currently 2 kinds of cupcake cream available right now.

The first one is the original version. The original version’s packaging contains vintage drawings of flowers and the aluminum jar is only contained in a small resealable plastic pack. The cream is unscented, much like regular lotion.

The second and newer version is the white chocolate version.

12784461_10153562631404582_1580566184_n

It doesn’t really smell much like white chocolate. Or maybe, I was just expecting for it to smell a little sweeter. Only the smell and the packaging have changed, but the effect is still pretty much the same.

Of all the underarm wonders that I have mentioned, this one is the best for me.
Why?
Not only does it whiten the underarm effectively (though not as fast as RMK does), but it also removes “chicken skin”. It made my underarm really soft and smooth, just after finishing one jar! A jar would last you around 2 weeks as well, depending on the use. I use it twice a day too, for maximum effect.

Pros:
– Removes chicken skin
– Effectively whitens the armpits
– Won’t leave any marks on the clothes
– No more sweaty armpits
– Armpits smell really good!
– Makes your armpits feel soft and smooth

Cons:
– A bit expensive for an armpit “moisturizer” (coz my toner is RMK, and this is my moisturizer)
– Only sold by one reseller so far (or maybe I just don’t know the other ones)

To summarize, I use Human Nature’s deo stick when I don’t want to mess my hands with this cream or if I already ran out of it. I always use RMK before any of the 2 though.

Have you already tried using this cupcake cream before? What can you say about it? Feel free to comment below 😉

Review: RMK Whitening Deodorant

Armpit Talks #02

Another product that made my armpits look better than before is RMK Whitening Deodorant.
It’s a liquid-type deo, that looks a lot like a toner. The smell also reminds me of some toner I’ve already used a long time ago but could no longer remember.
12736161_10153562631669582_102187732_n
RMK Whitening Deodorant
Price: 160 pesos for 60ml
            300 pesos for 120 ml
Where to buy: online sellers (there’s a lot, but make sure they’re legit!)
Active Ingredients:
Calamansi Extract
Licorice
Vitamin C
3% Aluminum Chloride
12769580_10153562655684582_760846163_n
I just took a shower and used bath salt to scrub my armpits and make sure it’s squeaky clean. But despite it all, I still managed to remove a lot of dirt from my ‘pits using RMK.
I think RMK works like a cleanser and toner with whitening properties. I’ve only been using it for 2 weeks and I’ve already seen significant results.
Pros:
– Really effective in whitening the armpits! Results can be seen in as short as 1 week. But I’ve been hearing from others that it still depends on the person. There are some who have already been using it for more than a month and there’s still no visible changes. I guess it really depends. But it worked for me!
– No sweaty armpits!
– No smelly armpits!
– The liquid itself doesn’t smell bad
– Safe to use even for pregnant and lactating women (according to the other users)
Cons:
– A bit pricey. One 120ml bottle would last you around 2 weeks, depending on the use. For faster effect, I use it twice a day (before going to work and before going to bed)
– Only available online
Tip: After applying RMK, I highly suggest using Human Nature deo stick or any other oil/moisturizer with whitening effect. I use either Human Nature deo stick or Little Baby Cupcake Cream. I will review the cupcake cream on my next post 🙂
Share your experience with RMK by commenting below. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer 🙂

Review: Human Nature Deodorant Stick

Armpit Talks #01

I think it’s safe to say that a lot of Filipinas are not confident with their armpits. I am part Chinese and Spanish (though the Spanish side doesn’t really show lol) and despite having white skin, I admit that it used to be my problem too!

When I was younger, I tried a lot of drug store deodorant brands. Name it, and most probably I have already tried it. It did helped me with the perspiration part and deodorant part, but skin-wise, it didn’t do me any good.
It was too late when I realized that my armpit is already darker than my skin 😦 It made me conscious and not confident. As an adult, I’m never really fond of wearing sleeveless. Admittedly, underarm issue is one of the reasons. But everything changed when I was introduced to 3 wonderful gems!
From being conscious of my ‘pits, now I am confident to let the world see them!

(no filter, no edit. just added watermark and LINE friends :D)

Where to buy: Human Nature’s website, Robinsons Malls, Human Nature dealers
1. Tea tree oil fights odor-causing bacteria
2. Instant-dry formula
3. Non-sticky after-feel
4. Sunflower oil helps lighten underarms
5. Smoothens underarms
6. Easy to rinse with no flaky buildup
7. No stains or streaks on clothes
8. No harsh alcohol that can darken underarms
9. No aluminum salts
10. No phthalates (synthetic fragrances)
11. No triclosan
12. No parabens
12782183_10153562639064582_2005935302_n
Pros:
– smells really good!
– my armpits became whiter and smoother after just 4 months of use (started using it October 2015)
– all natural (?)
– cruelty free ♥
– no more sweaty armpits
– no stains on clothes
Cons:
– a bit expensive for a deo, but since one stick lasts around a month, then it’s not bad after all
I’d give it a 4.5/5 stars
This is one amazing product!
Have you already tried Human Nature’s deo stick? If yes, what can you say about it?
Please feel free to comment below 😉

Welcome!

My name is Nei and I’m from the Philippines.
I’ve been blogging for 12 years, but this is the first time I’m posting here in WordPress.
It seems too different from Livejournal, but it also looks fun!

I’m sure I’m going to enjoy posting here too!

Thank you 🙂
